No one knows the exact cause of BPD but most of it has to do with growing up under the wrong circumstances bad parenting, rejection issues with peers, etc. Usually the individual suffers from neglect from their parents and thus has major acceptance issues.

Maybe you could look after some of your own problems aswell it’s odd how casually you mentioned you have PTSD. But that time isn’t now. If not you should. And to be quite frank if he can’t give you what you want and what you need you should think about ending the relationship.
It’s scary to think about, but it might be for the best. But honestly I’m not really anyone you should listen to it’s just my opinion. The reason our relationship is working out is because we sat down, had a talk about what we each expect, and he did A LOT of research on BPD. Learning about what you’re dealing with is the first step to being able to understand and accept it.
